The ‘PT Column’ is an extension of the ‘PT Brace’. The ‘PT Column’ combines both lateral bracing and download. The extra strength of the ‘PT Column’ combined with a nominated head beam will carry either floor or roof load, or both, across large door and window openings.
The “PT Column” is Engineer certified for bracing to 28kN per metre and load carrying of 60 kN per frame. (Refer to Load Tables)
The pre-engineered ‘PT Column’ is simple to install, light weight and cost effective.
Today’s modern home designs favour open plan living with large glassed areas with minimum walls.
With no other pre-engineered System of its kind on the market, the ‘PT Column’ will easily take care of both bracing and down load requirements in areas where other bracing methods are incapable.
Non-standard sizes
are no problem. We manufacture to suit your requirements.
No S.H.S. Post is required to carry header beams where the ‘PT Column’ is specified. |
