Innovation at it's solid best.
The Designer / Inventor
The PT Brace was designed by Paul Tongiatama (PT), Structural Design Draftsman, who saw the need to invent a bracing system for residential homes to resist the forces of nature such as cyclones, tornadoes and earthquakes.

Paul Tongiatama was raised on Niue Island, a small island in the South Pacific, and qualified as a Draftsman in New Zealand. Paul has experienced the forces of nature against his home and after watching the destruction caused by cyclones in Australia and earthquakes and tornadoes throughout the USA, he decided to design a different type of wall bracing for application in residential homes. Paul was conscious of the need to design a bracing system that would be cost effective, strong and of light weight construction and with PT Brace now being used extensively in the building industry, Paul has indeed achieved his goal. Paul now resides in Brisbane, Australia.

The brace is a patented product in Australia - Patent No. 715517 and in the USA - Patent No. 6,073,413.
